Over seventy vintage airplanes were displayed at the Planes of Fame Airshow at Chino over the weekend of May 14 - 15, 2011.

Grumman F7F-3P Tigercat NX700F Here Kitty Kitty, May 14, 2011 Grumman F7F-3P Tigercat NX700F Here Kitty Kitty was delivered to the US Navy as BuNo 80390 in 1945. Kreitzberg Aviation of Salem, Oregon registered it as N6129C. Johnson Flying Service of Missoula, Montana bought it in 1963 and sold it to Calvin J. Butler and Butler Farm Air Service of Redmond, Oregon. It flew as tanker #F16 and later as tanker #16. TBM Incorporated of Tulare, California flew it as tanker #E62 from 1969 to 1978. Harold Beal and On Mark Aviation of Knoxville, Tennessee acquired it in November 1978 and sold it to Preston Parish and the Kalamazoo Aviation History Museum in Michigan in March 1980. Its registration was changed to N700F. Air Training Incorporated of Knoxville, Tennessee bought it in January 1981 and delivered it to the Kalamazoo Aviation History Museum in March 1985. It has been registered to Lewis Aeronautical LLC since October 24, 2008.

General Motors TBM-3U Avenger N3967A, May 14, 2011 Commemorative Air Force General Motors TBM-3U Avenger N3967A was delivered to the US Navy as BuNo 53835 in 1945. Its construction number is 3897. Nevadair of Tonopah, Nevada registered it as N3967A in 1963. Charlie T. Jensen of Tonopah, Nevada bought it in 1972 and sold it to Maynard Lund of Ritzville, Washington in 1978. Skarda Flying Service of Hazen, Arkansas acquired it on January 17, 1984. It flies as as BuNo 53835/GS-41.

Douglas SBD-5 Dauntless NX670AM, May 14, 2011 Douglas SBD-5 Dauntless NX670AM of the Planes of Fame Museum. It was built as Navy BuNo 28536 but delivered to the Royal New Zealand Air Force as NZ5062. After the war it was used as a wind machine by MGM Studios. Wings from another SBD were recovered from Guadalcanal to return this Dauntless to flying condition in 1987. It flew its first flight after reconstruction on February 7, 1987. It is powered by a Wright R-1820 radial engine.

Vought F4U-1A Corsair NX83782, May 14, 2011 Vought F4U-1A Corsair NX83782 is registered to the Planes of Fame Museum at Chino, California. It is the oldest airworthy Corsair. It flew for the Navy as Buno 17799 and still carries that number on its tail. It was used as a movie prop by MGM Studios. The Ontario Air Museum acquired it in 1970. It was restored to airworthy condition in 1977. It is powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine.

Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat NX30FG, May 14, 2011 Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat NX30FG has been registered to Chino Warbirds since 1991. Its Grumman construction number is A-3196. Its Navy BuNo was 41930. It first appeared on the civil register as N6096C in 1963. Its registration changed to N103V in 1965. From 1972 to 1990 it was displayed at the Champlin Fighter Museum at Falcon Field near Mesa, Airzona. It is powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine.

Grumman TBM-3E Avenger NX7835C, May 14, 2011 Grumman TBM-3E Avenger NX7835C was registered by The Air Museum of Claremont, the predecessor to the Planes of Fame Museum, in 1958. Its Grumman construction number is 4169.

Douglas A-1E Skyraider N39147, May 14, 2011 Douglas A-1E Skyraider N39147 was delivered to the US Navy as AD-5 BuNo 132683. Its construction number is 9540. Its designation was later changed to A-1E. It was transfered to the South Vietnamese Air Force. Yesterday's Air Force of Long Beach recovered it from Thailand. Military Aircraft Restoration Corporation of Chinom, California registered it as N39147 in April 1983. Danny Summers of Sugar City, Idaho acquired it on September 25, 2003. It is powered a Wright R3350-42 eighteen-cylinder radial engine.

General Motors TBM-3 Avenger NL6VC, May 14, 2011 General Motors TBM-3 Avenger NL6VC flew for the US Navy as BuNo 53139. It was sold to the Royal Canadian Navy on September 27, 1950 as RCH 361. It was struck off charge on January 30, 1958. Skyway Air Services of Langley, British Columbia registered it as CF-IMN and converted it to a tanker in 1958. It flew as #605. Forest Protection Limited acquired it in 1981 and flew it as tanker #15. It was stored from 1990 to 1994. Vintage Wings of Seattle, Washington acquired it in July 1994. Ozark Management Incorporated of Rolla, Missouri registered it as NL6VC on July 11, 1998. It has been registered to Pissed Away N6VC LLC of Bellevue, Washington since November 8, 2010.

General Motors TBM-3E Avenger N4171A, May 14, 2011 General Motors TBM-3E Avenger N4171A served the U.S. Navy as BuNo 91521 and its construction number is 4426. Reeder Flying Service of Twin Falls, Idaho registered it as N4171A in 1963 and flew it as tanker #D11. Louis Deterding of Havre, Montana bought it in 1977 and sold it to Donald J. von Siegel of Parkin, Arkansas in 1984. Corwin H. "Corky" Meyer of Ocala, Florida acquired it in 1988. Its fuselage was destroyed by fire during restoration in 1989, so the fuselage from BuNo 53489 was incorporated into its reconstruction. It made its first flight after rebuild on May 5, 1994, and it was sold to Stephen M. Hay of Lansing, Illinois later that year. Wawasee Airport Incorporated of Syracuse, Indiana bought it on April 28, 1998 and sold it to Northern Indiana Aviation Museum of Goshen, Indiana in 1999. It has been registerred to Freeberg Family LLP of Escondido, California since February 5, 2003.

General Motors FM-2 Wildcat N86572, May 14, 2011 General Motors FM-2 Wildcat N86572 has been operated by the Warhawk Air Museum of Boise, Idaho since August of 1997. It served the U. S. Navy as BuNo 86572. Its Grumman construction number is 5626. It entered the civil register as N35MK in 1954. Lyman Rice of Laconia, New Hampshire bought it in 1959 and sold it to Hamilton Aircraft Company of Tucson, Arizona in 1963. New London Airport in Pennsylvania acquired it in 1972 and reportedly sold it in 1984, when it was re-registered as N35M. It was struck off the civil register in April 1990.

Goodyear FG-1D Corsair NX29VF, May 14, 2011 Goodyear FG-1D Corsair NX29VF served the US Navy as BuNo 67070. It was delivered to the El Salvadoran Air Force as FAS 201 in 1957. It was recovered from El Salvador about 1975. John Roxbury of Princeton, Minnesota acquired it in 1988. Charles A. Osborn and Vintage Aircraft of Louisville, Kentucky acquired it on September 15, 1999. Blue Sky Aviation of Streetman, Texas took registered it as N29VF in September 2004. It has been registered to Lewis Aeronautical LLC of San Antonio, Texas since October 2, 2006.

Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat N1078Z Minsi III, May 14, 2011 Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat N1078Z Minsi III. Its construction number is A-5634. John Sandberg recovered it from the Fergus Falls Airport in Minnesota in 1962. It was subsequently owned by Lloyd Nolan from 1972 to 1973 and Ed Messick from April 9, 1973 to 1990. The Confederate Air Force acquired it in 1990. It has been registered to the American Airpower Heritage Flying Museum since 1991. It is part of the collection of the Southern California Wing of the Commemorative Air Force and is based at Camarillo.

Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat N7825C, May 14, 2011 Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat N7825C flew for the US Navy as BuNo 122674. Its Grumman construction number is D.1227. It was built in 1948. E. Weiner of Los Angeles registered it under its current tail number in 1958. It was bought by Leo Demeers of Aurora, Oregon in 1963. Richard Tobey of Newport Beach, California in acquired it in 1966 and then sold it to Paul Finefrock of Hobart, Oklahoma in 1969. Gary Levitz picked it up later that year. It has belonged to the Confederate Air Force since 1972. It underwent a major rebuild from 1989 to 1991. It made its first flight after the rebuild on December 17, 1991. It is powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine.

Grumman F8F-1 Bearcat NL14HP, May 14, 2011 Grumman F8F-1 Bearcat NL14HP flew for the US Navy as BuNo 90446. Its construction number is D.10. It was transferred to the National Air and Space Museum in 1952 and stored at Silver Hill. It was traded to Darryl Greenamyer in 1976 in exchange for his racing Bearcat N1111L. George Enhorning and Wolcott Air Service, Wolcott, Connecticut registered it as N99279 in March 1977. Howard E. Pardue and Breckenridge Aviation Museum of Breckenridge, Texas registered it as N14HP in March 1983. Pardue races it as #14. It was badly damaged in a collision with a Corsair at Oshkosh, Wisconsin on July 9, 1989. It first flew after rebuilding in 2002. It nosed over on landing on June 25, 2002.

Grumman F8F-1 Bearcat NL9G, May 14, 2011 Grumman F8F-1 Bearcat NL9G flew for the US Navy as BuNo 90454. Its construction number is D.18. It was used as an instructional airframe as NAF Norman, Oklahoma in the 1950s. Ed Weiner of Los Angeles, California registered it as N6624C in 1959 and later changed the registration to N3551. Vernon D. Jarvis of Decatur, Illinois acquired it in 1963 and sold it to R. E. Schreder of Bryan, Ohio. Gunther W. Balz of Kalamazoo, Mishigan registered it as N9G in 1968. It flew as race #1 and then as race #7 Roto Finish Special. Preston Parish and the Kalamazoo Aviation History Museum in Michigan acquired it in 1978 and restored it in Royal Thai Air Force colors. It was damaged during a forced landing at Columbia, Missouri on May 26, 1995.

Goodyear FG-1D Corsair N11Y, May 14, 2011 Goodyear FG-1D Corsair N11Y served the US Navy as BuNo 67087. It spent some time in the service of the El Salvadoran Air Force. Chuck Wentworth and C. C. Air Corporation of Rialto, California recovered it in 1988. It made its first flight after restoration at Rialto in 1995. It has been registered to C. C. Air Corporation of Port Hueneme since July 25, 1995.

Grumman J2F-6 Duck NL5SF, May 14, 2011 Grumman J2F-6 Duck NL5SF was built in 1939. It flew for the US Navy as BuNo 33594. It has been owned by Kermit Weeks, Cinema Air Collection of Chino, and the San Diego Aerospace Museum. It has been registered to Chino Warbirds Incorporated since June 21, 2000. It was displayed at the Planes of Fame Valle-Williams annex between 2004 and 2007.

Grumman F3F Flying Barrel N20FG, May 14, 2011 Grumman F3F Flying Barrel N20FG is owned by Cinema Air of Carlsbad, California. It was manufactured by the Texas Airplane Factory. It is powered by a Wright R-1820 radial engine.

Curtiss P-40N Warhawk NL85104, May 14, 2011 Curtiss P-40N Warhawk NL85104 flew for the Army Air Corps as 42-105192. It was delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force as 858. Fred Dyson bought it and 42-106396 at Boeing Field, Seattle, Washington on October 23, 1947. It was owned by W. Bridges in Jackson, Mississippi from 1952 to 1954. Louis Rice of Marysville, California bought it in 1954 and very quickly sold it to Richard Rowlette of Riverside, California. Walter Brockin, also of Riverside, acquired it in 1955 nd then sold it to W. Keith Larkin of Weather Modification Company in San Jose, California. It was damaged in a wheels up landing near Denver, Colorado in 1958. The Air Museum in Ontario restored it to static display condition in 1959. Restoration of the airframe was begun in 1977. It made its first flight after restoration in 1981, when it acquired its current registration. It is powered by an Allison V-1710 twelve-cylinder engine.

Bell YP-59A Airacomet 42-108777, May 14, 2011 Bell YP-59A Airacomet 42-108777 carries construction number 27-10. Its General Electric I-A engines have been rebuilt, and the airplane is expected to fly any year now.

Ryan FR-1 Fireball BuNo 39657, May 14, 2011 Ryan FR-1 Fireball BuNo 39657 was used by NACA Ames between February 17, 1945 and June 1, 1947. It later served as an instructional airframe at a technical school.

Vertol H-21B Shawnee N64606 , May 14, 2011 Vertol H-21B Shawnee N64606 flew for the Army as 54-4001. Its construction number is B.154. It was transferred to the French Navy as F-YDCB. It was later transferred to ALAT as AAG in 1960. It was struck off charge in 1968. Midwest Helicopter Airways registered it as N64606. It has been registered to the Classic Rotors Museum at the Ramona Airport since July 7, 1998.

Boeing P-12E NX3360G, May 14, 2011 Boeing P-12E NX3360G flew for the Army Air Corps as 32-17. It was written off in landing accident at Long Beach Municipal Airport, California on February 10, 1940. Ed Maloney restored a fuselage found at a technical school as 32-17. Maloney registered it as NX3360G on August 10, 1979. It is restored as a US Navy F4B-3.

Consolidated P4Y-2 Privateer N2871G, May 14, 2011 Consolidated P4Y-2 Privateer N2871G was delivered to the US Navy as PB4Y-2 BuNo 66302 in 1945 and was subsequently transferred to the US Coast Guard and redesignated P4Y-2G. It was put up for dispossal at Naval Air Station at Elizabeth City, North Carolina in August 1958. Ace Smelting Incorporated of Phoenix, Aarizona acquired it in 1959. Avery Aviation of Greybull, Wyoming registered it as N2871G later that year. It flew as tanker #A20, #B21, and #A23. Hawkins and Powers Aviation of Greybull, Wyoming bought it in July 1969 and flew it as tanker 121 until all Privateer tankers were removed from service in 2003. It has been registered to 4Y-2 LLC of Phoenix, Arizona since January 10, 2008.

Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress N9563Z Fuddy Duddy, May 14, 2011 Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress N9563Z Fuddy Duddy was delivered to the U. S. Army Air Corps as 44-83563. It was modified to a CB-17G cargo transport and then to a VB-17G VIP transport. It was acquired by American Compressed Steel of Cincinnati, Ohio on August 18, 1959. Aero American Corporation of Tucson, Arizona acquired it on May 9, 1960 and gave it its current registration. Columbia Pictures Incorporated of New York leased it on October 11, 1961 to use it in the movie The War Lover. In the movie it portrayed B-17F, 41-27742. It departed the United Kingdom on May 16, 1962. It spent some time in storage at Ryan Field, Arizona. Aviation Specialties Incorporated of Mesa, Arizona bought it on February 2, 1963 and operated it as tanker e24, c24, #24, and #89. It was flown to Hawaii in January 1969 to appear in the movie Tora Tora Tora. Globe Air Incorporated of Mesa, Arizona acquired it on February 18, 1981. The National Warplane Museum at Horseheads, New York bought it in October 1985. It has been registered to Martin Aviation of Santa Ana, California since January 13, 2006.

Northrop N9MB Flying Wing N9MB, May 14, 2011 Northrop N9MB Flying Wing is now registered N9MB, although it carried no registration when it was flown as a one-third scale, free-flying, wind-tunnel model of the XB-35 bomber. It is owned by the Planes of Fame Air Museum at Chino, California. It is powered by a pair of Franklin OX 540-7 eight-cylinder opposed engines.

Silver Wings Stearman B75N1 N450SR, May 14, 2011 Silver Wings Stearman B75N1 N450SR is piloted by Hartley Folstad and carries wing walker Margaret Stivers. It carries construction number 75-7016 and was built in 1942. It has been registered to Stearman Restorations Incorporated of Cottage Grove, Oregon since June 25, 1986.

Idaho Aircraft Incorporated of Boise operated it as a tanker in 1963. Dennis Smilanich of Boise owned it from 1963 to 1966. Filmways Incorporated acquired it for use in the movie Catch-22 and then sold it to Ted Itano in 1972. It is powered by a pair of Wright R-2600 Twin Cyclone two-bank, 14-cylinder radial engines.

Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 NX87CN, May 14, 2011 Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 NX87CN has been registered to the Air Museum at Chino since February 1999. It was operated by the Chinese Air Force as 83277. Tom Friedkin first registered it in the U. S. in June 1991.

North American F-86F Sabre NX186AM, May 14, 2011 North American F-86F Sabre NX186AM has been registered to the Air Museum at Chino since March 1999. Its Air Force serial was 52-5012. Its North American construction number is 191-708. Tom Friedkin of Cinema Air Corporation registered it as N4TF in April 1990. It is powered by a General Electric J47 jet engine.

Butler and Butler Farm Air Service of Redmond, Oregon registered it as N7235C in 1963. It flew as tanker F17 and later as 17. TBM Incorporated of Tulare, California flew it as tanker E64 from 1969 to 1979. Military Aircraft Restoration Corporation of Chino, California acquired it in 1982. It was loaned to the Combat Air Museum of Topeka, Kansas from 1992 to 1996. The Fighter Collection at Duxford, UK registered it as G-RUMT in June 1996. It was rebuilt by Steve Hinton and Fighter Rebuilders at Chino. It has been registered to Avstar International of Seattle, Washington since July 10, 2007.

Republic P-47G Thunderbolt NX3395G Spirit of Atlantic City NJ, May 14, 2011 Republic P-47G "razorback" Thunderbolt NX3395G Spirit of Atlantic City NJ has been registered to the Planes of Fame Museum since December 1965. Its original serial was 42-25254. It was manufactured under license by Curtiss. It was purchased by the Grand Central Aircraft Company of Glendale, California in 1944. Cal Aero Technical Institute used the airframe as a mechanic training aid from 1950 to 1955. The Claremont Air Museum acquired it in October 1955. It was restored to flying condition at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. The restoration began in 1958, and it first flew in 1963, when it received its current registration. It flew as Roscoe's Retreat for a while. It crashed during an airshow at Pt. Mugu Naval Air Station, California on October 23, 1971. The next time it flew was in 1976. It is powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine.

S. troops at Asilito Airfield, Saipan on June 18, 1944. It was shipped to the U. S. for evaluation, arriving in San Diego, California on July 16, 1944. It was flown for approximately 190 hours by Navy pilots at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland. Ed Maloney acquired it for the Air Museum in Claremont in 1950. It first flew after restoration on June 28, 1978. It is powered by an original Sakai 21 radial engine.

Avione Cariova SAS Yak-3U N46463, May 14, 2011 Avione Cariova SAS Yak-3U/R2000 N46463 was built in 2005 and carries construction number 001-3/2005. It is powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2000 radial engine.

Bell P-63A King Cobra NX163BP Pretty Polly, May 14, 2011 Bell P-63A King Cobra NX163BP Pretty Polly was delivered to the Army Air Force as 42-68864. It was displayed at Elliot White Springs Park in Lancaster, British Columbia from 1950 to 1960. Don Whittington of Fort Lauderdale, Florida acquired the hulk and sold it to the Confederate Air Force at Harlingen, Texas in 1984. Robert J. Pond and the Planes Of Fame East at Minneapolis-Flying Cloud, Minnesota bought it in 1988. It was restored to airworthy condition at Chino, making its first flight after restoration on October 2, 1992. It is now in the collection of the Palm Springs Air Museum.

Yakovlev Yak-3U NX130AM, May 14, 2011 Yakovlev Yak-3U NX130AM was built in 1995. It carries construction number 170101. It has been registered to the Air Museum since February 9, 2009. It is powered by an Allison V-1710 V-12 engine.

Its construction number is 122-44609. It was transferred to the 131st Fighter Bomber Wing of the Strategic Air Command in 1951. It was transferred to the 165th Fighter Bomber Squadron of the Kentucky Air National Guard in 1953. Robert Rodman of Fullerton, California registered it as N5436V in 1963. Les Grant of Santa Barbara, California acquired it in 1966. Ted Contri registered it as N51TC in 1978. Robert Pond and the Planes of Fame East registered it as N251BP in 1987 and flew it as Mighty Moose. Bernie Jackson acquired it in 1998 and restored it in Royal Canadian Air Force colors as The Vorpel Sword in 2001. It suffered a hard landing at Minden, Nevada in December 2005. It first flew after rapairs in January 2007. It was sold to Cielos LLC in 2009 and was restored in the colors of the 78th Fighter Group as Buzzin Cuzzin 44-72481.

North American P-51D Mustang N151MW Lady Alice, May 14, 2011 North American P-51D Mustang N151MW Lady Alice was delivered to the Army Air Force as 45-11633. Its construction number is 124-48386. William G. Lacy and Lacy Steel Incorporated of Honolulu, Hawaii registered it as N5413V in 1963. It was damaged in a ground accident at Honolulu in 1972. Lady Alice Corporation of Wilmington, Delaware registered it as N151MW on August 26, 1999. It has been registered to Wagner P-51 Corporation since September 12, 2006.

North American P-51D Mustang N7551T Hell-er Bust, May 14, 2011 North American P-51D Mustang N7551T Hell-er Bust was delivered to the Eighth Air Force of the US Army Air Corps as 44-72438. It was transferred to the Swedish Air Force as Fv26131 on April 24, 1948. Delivered to Delivered to FA Dominicana as FAD 1920 in October 1952. Brian O'Farrell and Johnson Aviation of Hialeah, Florida bought it on May 18, 1984 and sold it to Selby R. Burch of Kissimee, Florida in 1987. Bob Jepson and Lady Alice Corporation of Wilmington, Delaware acquired it in 1999 and flew it first as Lady Alice and later as Hell-er Bust. Historic Aircraft Foundation of Seattle, Washington acquired it March 2006. It has been registered to Mustang High Flight LLC of Boise, Idaho since June 5, 2009.

Coutches and American Aircraft Sales Company of Hayward, California registered it as N7722C on February 17, 1958. Ronald E. West and West Foods Incorporated of Soquel, California acquired it in 1958 and sold it to Richard B. McFarlane on July 21, 1958. Donald G. Bell of Livermore, California bought it on August 25, 1958 and sold it to Robert G. Bixler of San Jose, California in October 1965. Robert H. Phillips of Phoenix, Arizona acquired it on March 1971 and sold it to Rob Satterfield of Aaron F. Giebel and Dallas L. Smith of Midland, Texas on September 9, 1978. Rob Satterfield and Dallas L. Smith of Midland bought it in 1983 and sold it to Dallas L. Smith of Midland in 1990. Brian Hore and Alpine Fighter Collection of Wanaka, New Zealand acquired it in 1993 and registered it as ZK-PLI. It flew as Flew as Isabell II of the 357th Fighter Group. Jack Croul and Aircorp/Pursuit LLC of Corona Del Mar, California registered it as N7722C again on December 7, 2005.

North American P-51D Mustang NL451TB Kimberly Kaye, May 14, 2011 North American P-51D Mustang NL451TB Kimberly Kaye has been registered to Banta Aviation Corporation of Dover Delaware since February 2001. It served the Army Air Corps as 45-11559. It was transferred to the FA Salvadorena as FAS-401 in September 1968. Flaherty Factors Incorporated of Monterey, California registered it as N34FF on November 1, 1974. It swapped identities with 44-11153 when it returned to the United States. Clark Motor Company of State College, Pennsylvnia bought it in 1983 and re-registered it as N51WE in September 1985. It crashed near State College, Pennsylvnia on March 7, 1988, killing William Clark. It was restored to airworthy condition, making its first flight on March 22, 2003.

North American P-51D Mustang NL327DB Lady Jo, May 14, 2011 North American P-51D Mustang NL327DB Lady Jo is registered to Aero Classics, Inc of Chino, California. It was built as Army Air Corps 44-84860. Stephen Johnson of Oakland, California recovered it in 1978. John MacGuire of El Paso, Texas registered it as N55509 in August 1984 and sold it to Aero Classics of Chino in June 1989. It was rebuilt at Chino as a two-seat TF-51D, making its first flight after restoration on May 19, 1989. It wears 484860 on its tail.

Fairey Firefly AS-6 N518WB, May 14, 2011 Fairey Firefly AS-6 N518WB has been registered to Edward Kurdziel of Del Mar, California since February 2003. It was built in 1950 and is a veteran of the Korean War. It flew for the Royal Australian Navy as WB518 and still carries that ID. The K on the tail denotes that this Firefly came off the HMAS Sydney. Its Fairey construction number is F.8646. For a while, it was displayed on a pole at Griffith, New South Wales. Classic Aviation Pty Limited of Bankstown, NSW acquired it in 1991. It was restored using parts of Firefly WD828. It is powered by a Rolls Royce Griffin V-12 engine.

It was acquired by the Hanfield School of Aeronautics in Santa Maria, California in 1950. Jack Hardwicke of El Monte, California registered it as N29Q in 1954. He sold it to the Air Museum in Ontario, California in 1960 where it sat on static display for seventeen years. It was restored to flying condition, making its first flight on July 22, 1988. It then went to the Planes of Fame East museum in Minnesota. Bob Pond purchased it in October 1989 and registered it as N38BP.It returned to the Air Museum at Chino in 1998. It is powered by a pair of Allison V-1710 twelve-cylinder engines.

Lockheed P-38L Lightning NL7723C Honey Bunny, May 14, 2011 Lockheed P-38L Lightning NL7723C Honey Bunny was delivered to the Army Air Force as photo-reconnaissance F-5G 44-26981. Its construction number is 7985. Aero Exploration Company Incorporated of Tulsa, Oklahoma acquired it from the War Assets Administration at Kingman, Arizona for $1,250 on March 22, 1946. It was registered as NX53752 on May 10, 1946 and then as N53752 in 1948. It was withdrawn from service in Tulsa, Oklahoma in July 1949. Spartan Air Services Limited of Ottawa, Ontario registered it as CF-GCH in December 1951. It suffered a landing gear collapse at Duluth, Minnesota on May 3, 1953. Hycon Aerial Surveys of Pasadena, California registered it as N5596V on November 8, 1956. It was retired and stored in the open at Las Vegas in December 1959. Don E. May of Phoenix, Arizona bought it on June 25, 1962 and sold it to Ben W. Widtfeldt and Desert Aviation Incorporated of Phoenix, Arizona on June 19, 1963. Aero Enterprises of La Porte, Indiana acquired it on September 9, 1963 and sold it to Laurel Walsh of Birmingham, Michigan on November 11, 1963. J.W. Bohmier and New London Airport of New London, Pennsylvania bought it on December 6, 1963 and sold it to Jim Cullen and Westair Company of Westminster, Colorado on Nov. 2, 1964. Troy G. Hawkins of Wichita Falls, Texas acquired it on September 9, 1965 and sold it to L. James Ausland and Sports Air of Seattle, Washington on April 20, 1967. William E. Padden of Los Angeles, California bought it on April 20, 1968 and sold it to I.N. "Junior" Burchinal of Paris, Texas on August 19, 1970. It struck a car and trailer while landing and suffered a landing gear collapse at Paris, Texas on May 23, 1971. David M. Boyd and Eagle Aviation of Tulsa, Oklahoma acquired the wreckage on April 2, 1973 and sold it to John P. Silberman of Key West, Florida on January 4, 1979. It was rebuilt at Live Oaks, Florida and made its first flight in September 1985. The Museum Of Flying at Santa Monica, California acquired it in October 1989 and fitted it with a conventional fighter nose in 1990. William Lyons and Martin Aviation of Santa Ana, California bought it on May 20, 1990. It was damaged in a gear up landing at Winslow, Arizona in August 1992. David Price, Liberty Aero Corp, and the Museum Of Flying at Santa Monica, California acquired it on November 6, 1995 and traded it to the Commemorative Air Force in September 2002. Vintage Fighters LLC of Corona del Mar, California registered it as NL7723C on June 10, 2005. It is powered by a pair of Allison V-1710 twelve-cylinder engines.

It has been registered to Banta Aviation Corporation of Dover, Delaware since May 24, 2001. It is powered by an Allison V-1710 V-12 engine.

It was withdrawn from flight status in the late 1970s and only recently restored to airworthy condition. Its current flight certificate was issued on March 3, 2006.

Boeing P-26 Peashooter N3378G, May 14, 2011 Boeing P-26 Peashooter N3378G flew for the Army Air Corps as 33-123. It carries Boeing construction number 1899. It was transferred to the Guatemalan Air Force as 0672 on May 11, 1943. The Air Museum of Ontario acquired it in 1957. The Autonetics Division of North American Aviation restored it to airworthy condition in 1962.

North American P-51D Mustang N71FT Strega, May 14, 2011 Highly modified North American P-51D Mustang N71FT Strega is one of the fastest unlimited racing planes. Its construction number is 111-36388 and it was assigned Army Air Corps serial 44-13105. It was delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force as A68-679 in July 1945. It was struck off charge on November 14, 1948. Pearce Dunn and Warbirds Aviation Museum of Mildura, Victoria, Australia recovered it from a farm in Benalia, Victoria in 1966 and restored it for static display. Dennis Schoenfelder, David Zeushel, and B&D Enterprises of Van Nuys shipped it to the United States in 1981 and converted it for Air Racing. Bill Destefani of Shafter, California bought it in December 1983 and registered it as N71FT on July 30, 1990. It is powered by a Rolls Royce V-1650-7 Merlin V-12 engine.
